Near the Luontolomat resort there are perfect spots for hiking. There are shelters with fireplaces along the trails so you can make coffee or cook a bite by the campfire. If you are interested in fly-fishing or rapids-shooting you should definitely try out the rapids of Vähäjoki-river. Among the most fantastic ones is the cascade of Pyhäportti.
By car you will easily get to see more resorts of the region. In the winter and spring you can visit the Snow Castle of Kemi. The zoo of Ranua is an interesting attraction all year round. In the winter Ounasvaara ski slopes offer you the possibility to go downhill skiing.
